He has a rough edge personality and if you get on his bad side he’s not scared to cuss you out till the tears start flowing, or even throw a punch. Many have referred him to as an “asshole” but Kaiden doesn’t really see himself as such. Sure, he can be a tad bit blunt when it comes to what’s on his mind but he believes life is too short to waste remarks. The truth hurts, and Kaiden isn’t afraid to cause some pain. Kaiden’s mouth has gotten him in plenty of trouble many a time and he won’t deny it either. He might come off as a bit rude and uninterested when you first meet him, but it takes him time to figure someone out and see if they’re worth speaking to. His replies are usually quite short when being introduced to a new face and his expressions might seem as if he deems himself superior to someone, but in reality he is just keeping his guard up and trying not to give the person false impressions that he is interested in establishing a friendship.
Kaiden chooses his friend relatively wisely and makes sure that those allowed into his inner circle are trust worthy and will prove to be great friends. According to him, he doesn’t have time to waste on backstabbers and hypocrites and he believes that someone who is willing to put up with his bullshit for as long as it takes for Kai to consider them creditable of his friendship, is definitely someone who is worth keeping around. There is something about someone who won’t give up and who has determination that draws Kai in and catches his attention. So anyone who shows these qualities is pretty okay in Kai’s book. He will accept you into his friendship circle in due time and he makes up for it by a tenfold.
There is no denying Kaiden’s dedication to his closest friends. He will be the first to stand up and defend a friend till the end, no matter the cause. Kai has been known to be an extremely loving and dedicated friend and its something that he’s quite proud of. He will be there for friends and drop everything he is doing if one of them calls him up in need of his help. Once Kaiden lets you through that stubborn brick wall of his, you are guaranteed a lifetime of friendship and a million good laughs. Kaiden almost seems like a completely different person when he’s hanging out with his close friends and those who are new friends with him are usually pleasantly surprised by the change of attitude he shows them almost instantly. So sure, he may be a bit of an annoying prick in the beginning, but its well worth it in the end, for he would never let a friend down.
Kaiden loves to make his buddies laugh and does so in many a creative way. He will do something crazy and unexpected if it’ll put on a fairly interesting show for his pals and cause some sort of commotion in order to start up a good time. He absolutely loves to party and is usually found at one big house party or another. Dancing, drinks, chicks, it all calls Kai’s attention and he would rather die than miss a brilliant party. Despite his love for partying, however, Kaiden is quite responsible and won’t usually get piss drunk unless he’s planning on crashing at the party setting or having someone trustworthy drive him home. He values his life too much to risk losing it.
Another side of Kaiden is completely unmasked, as he becomes the front man of his pride and joy, Chemical Cookbook. He becomes more charming and sociable than ever and isn’t afraid or reluctant to become all buddy-buddy with the crowd of newcomers and fans in the venue. He will flirt with every girl if it’ll get her to show up to their next gig and score them some more crowds, or even if she’ll just purchase a shirt or a cd. He is extremely dedicated to his band and he puts the band before absolutely anything else. Networking for the band is a huge goal for him and its first on the list. He enjoys watching the fan base grow and seeing more and more people in the crowd singing along with their songs is a huge accomplishment and love of Kaiden.

» FAMILY ; Mother ` Janie Casey ` 39 ` Basically his whole life and he would do anything and everything to make her proud and happy. Father ` Charles Casey ` 40 ` Not very close to him, he's a novelist and was usually locked up in his study working on his latest book.
» PAST; Kaiden was born and raised in London, England where he spent most of his time riding a crappy bike up and down the street with his friends, playing tag, running in circles whenever it rained because they were dumb enough to not realize that they'd end up catching a cold. He was a good boy who made sure he hung out with the right people and always paid attention to his schoolwork. He handed everything in on time and every single teacher always had something good to say about him. Either because he always stayed back after the bell to help out or just something simple like remaining quiet when they were supposed to be dipping they’re heads low and writing about fairy tales or calculating what the square root of 93487 was (and no, don't even bother asking what the answer to that is)
He used to want to be a painter, an artist who sold their work on the streets for a small price which would later turn into something unbelievably expensive and be auctioned off for millions of dollars. He took his Polaroid camera with him everywhere, snapping shots at every chance he seemed to get and spent hours wondering how to piece them altogether, how to work them, sculpt and manage into a perfect order; a portfolio that he swore he was going to carry around with him for the rest of his life. But at the age of eight, his parents bought him a toy keyboard and he would spend every single minute sitting on the floor and working out how to play the most foolproof tune to go with his very surprisingly melodic voice. From then on, he wanted his life to revolve around music even if it meant having to seat every single one of his family members and get them to listen and to clap when necessary. When he’s not out with his friends or not working/having sex, everyone knows he will be in his room working on something new that will, hopefully, one day, make it
He was very close to his mother, a little bit of a mommy's boy if you like and they did absolutely everything together. She was his inspiration he guesses, the one who could draw and made him want to try it out, the little sketches she used to fit into his back pocket every morning before school, the love that went into every small detail on a face, on a beautiful day overlooking the city, the determination she made him want to have for himself. His mother was the person who sang every day, her voice crystal clear and flawless, the humming he could usually hear on a Saturday when she made pancakes especially for him. In a way, she was the one who also made him want to play and work with music, sing so sweetly, the words she used to speak when she was proud of him. He’d do everything for her.
Everyone always tends to ask why he acts like such a jerk at times or why he can be such a sweetheart, but he doesn't really think he can even answer that. He’s loud, vain, stubborn, selfish, jealous, he hates anyone who brushes off as a coward, a snob, an idiot to say the least. He doesn't get along with just anyone and sometimes he just likes to make trouble for himself, the riskier the better, the more dangerous the more exciting. But don't get him wrong. He is a nice guy. He looks after the people who matter, he’s kind and helpful, he will be the guy who brings flowers and takes you out to a fancy meal in some swanky restaurant. But he can also be the guy who will fuck you on the same night and never call back. That’s just who he is, I guess. Though he definitely wasn't brought up that way -- his parents taught him well and he thinks it was nyc that influenced this all; but don't try to change him because if you even try, you're going to find him breathing down your neck, and not in the good way either. They had done it. They had bloody done it! Kaiden still felt as if it weren’t true. He was waiting for someone to pop out of any corner and tell him it was all a hoax. No one did, though. They were really, surely, truly going on this national tour. And hell, he was confident they’d win too! He climbed down the steps of their new and temporary tour bus. He wondered if they would be keeping it once the competition was over and they had won. A small smirk quirked one side of his lips. Well, no one could say he wasn’t optimistic. Once he was outside he sighed and leaned back against the side of the bus. This feeling was overwhelming and he still got lame goose bumps whenever he thought about it too much.
Reaching into his pocket, Kaiden pulled out his pack of cigarettes. His vocal coach would kill him if she knew he smoked but hey, what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her… it would only hurt him. Flipping the top of the cigarette carton open, Kai pulled out a solitary cigarette from the cluster and wedged it between the swell of his lips. His eyes followed the scattered people around the lot. He didn’t know many of them but he was unquestionably going to get a chance to meet every one of them soon enough. These were the people he was going to be spending months with. He would have to learn to get along with all of them. Kai’s eyebrow quirked at the thought. Get along. He thought with a quick roll of his eyes. He could bullshit like nobodies business when he didn’t like someone but he didn’t know how long he could keep it up. Hopefully he would make it through the six months. Hell, hopefully he’d get along just fine with everyone.
A quick flick and a small flame burst from the top of the lighter. Kaiden held it up to the tip of his cigarette and inhaled in order to light it. Once it was fully lit, he slipped the lighter back into his pocket along with the box of cigarettes. The smoke from the tiny stick of nicotine warmed his insides and he felt a bit more relaxed. There had been so much excitement the last couple of days that Kaiden had barely been able to sit still. He had gone out to celebrate every day of the week prior to the day that they actually had to start living on the bus. One would think that he’d be exhausted but quite the contrary; he couldn’t sit and relax for more than five minutes without getting restless.
Kai wondered where the rest of his band mates were. Probably being sociable and walking around meeting new people. He just wanted attempt relaxation at least. He had been out and about everyday this past week. If relaxation continued to be a mission deemed for failure then he would just give up and actually join the others in making new friends. He was used to going out and hanging out with new people, new crowds. It was part of the job description when it came to being the front man of a band. He loved every minute of it and he never got tired of being out. Kaiden loved being the center of attention and he was never too shy to do outrageous things in order to call attention to himself. He inhaled some more of the smoky nicotine into his lungs and ran his tongue along his lips. Alright so this was relaxing. Smoking cigarettes always relaxed him but don’t ask him why cause he couldn’t tell you.
The quick nod of recognition from a passing kid caught Kaiden’s attention. He offered the kid a small salute; cigarette balanced between his fore and middle finger, and then directed his attention elsewhere. He wasn’t sure who the kid was. He didn’t think he was an actual member of any of the bands, he had looked up the other bands once they had gotten the call about getting on the tour – you know, check out the competition. Anyway, he didn’t think he had seen that kids face in any of the photos. He was probably merch or something of the like. Eh, with due time Kaiden would meet everyone who was worth meeting. Maybe he should be getting ready to head out and start doing that. Yeah, after he finished the rest of his cigarette.
