Obviously, if you know a thing or two about Faye, you know that she's been through quite a lot in her lifetime. I'd go into the dirty details but that's for a separate time for you to hear about that. No matter what's going on in her life or in her mind, Faye will always be the girl to try and put on a smile, brave it, and suck it up. Sometimes it's for the benefit of others, but sometimes it's for her own benefit. After all of the hardships that Faye has braved, she's learned that if she starts to let herself seem weak, even for a few minutes, then she won't be able to put up that barricade again to protect herself from getting hurt again. But, yes, Faye tries to appear happy all the time - which of course we know in reality isn't humanly possible, but she still hopes that she can at least fool people into believing that it's possible for Faye.
GIVING! You know that saying that if you're a good Christian that if someone asks for the shirt off your back you give them your cloak too? Well, Faye's foster parents never really identified with any one religion - but that's the way that Faye has always lived her life. Giving to other people has always been first nature for Faye. I think that it all started when she was a kid and her parents took her on a trip to New York City. She saw so many homeless people without food, shelter, or a loving family that she had, so when her parents took her back the following year she doled out the $254.29 that she had saved up to every homeless person she saw. After that, giving just became something that she took on, and to everyone and not just homeless people.
CREATIVE! Creativity is something that has always come easily to Faye. Starting with the noodle pictures that she used to create all the time and ending with her love of guitar and music. They say that if you can master the guitar, you can pretty much do anything. Oh, you've never heard that line? That's something that Faye came up with. Anyway - creativity, yes. In every aspect of Faye's life, to keep 'sane', especially through the dreaded middle school years, she had to induce her life with some kind of creativity. Whether it was her totally decked out room, completely DIY'd by yours truly with the records hanging from the walls and the bright red and black walls. Or, her clothing styles - having been the only person that could probably ever mix something from American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, some antique store finds, and a pair of Chuck Taylors and still pull it off.
CHILDISH! No matter how 'mature' you think at seventeen Faye should be, there are still some aspects of her that are well, immature, and will probably always be. Faye can admit that after a long night of partying, there's no better way to cradle a hang over than with a long cartoon marathon and a bowl of Lucky Charms. Faye still has (somewhere in her messy apartment) the first teddy bear that she ever got, Buttons. To say that she doesn't sleep with it would be a lie because if she knew where the hell it was, she probably would be sleeping with it. But, sometimes childish can be categorized under Jes' true love of life that still astounds people after all she's been through. » LIKES; teddy bears, photography, playing guitar, new york city, the ocean, lighthouses, dim lights, sharpies, sidekicks, perfume, wrapping presents, concerts, diet coke, scarves, the first snow, roller blading, sunglasses, juicy fruit gum, hugs, tour, playing piano, summer thunder storms, looking at people's tattoos, chick flicks, changing her hair, sidewalk chalk, the zoo, toe socks, good books, macaroni and cheese, running, buttons, vitamin water, strawberries, driving, a good party, roller coasters, carnivals, swings, eyeliner, christmas, family, friends, children, going to the movies late at night, japanese anime, girls night, law shows, swimming, dogs, airplanes, leonardo dicaprio, history, dresses, accomplishing goals, love, a good deal, straightners,
» DISLIKES; coloring inside the lines, horror movies, cleaning, waiting, funerals, the news, math, unfriendly competition, panic attacks, hot topic, sitting down and talking on the phone, tape players, power outages, getting judged, high heels, watching baseball, death, crying, depression, dragging other people into her problems, scratched compact discs, long talks on the phone, needles, blood, bees, dead flowers, driving with lightning and thunder, "grease", tacky suits, fast food, hospitals, acne, glue sticks, bruises, home sickness, sneezing, spaghetti, doctor's offices, painting nails, thorns, apple juice, shattered glass, tila tequila, wrappers, uncomfortable clothes,

» PAST; Faye's conception is what you could call a child by accident, or a conception that to be put simply - should not have happened. The story of Faye's conception takes place in a suburb of Ohio called New Albany. New Albany is one of those classic cities, founded in 1837. Faye's mother Zoe, was the quintessential good girl. She was on the cheerleading squad, maintained a B average, and had a steady boyfriend who lived about 2 hours away due to his college studies. Zoe was 18-years-old at the time of conception of Faye, and I'm sorry that this is as cliche as you're expecting, but yes, Faye's father is indeed not Zoe's boyfriend of the time. Instead it was quiet, artsy Quinton "Quin" Pollow, who's group of friends was definitely not the kind of people you'd expect Zoe's group of friends to mingle with. Zoe fell in love with Quin though, and the two began dating around the time that they conceived Faye. Zoe's water broke while she was giving a speech in front of her class. Soon after that, Faye Alllison Reynolds was born.
Both Quin and Zoe both took a year off of college after they graduated to care for little Faye. But, their lives were beckoning them elsewhere. Quin's mother had passed away when he was a baby and his father had remarried and was currently residing in England. The thought of sending their precious gem (also known as Faye) to England was absolutely not what Zoe or Quin were willing to do. Zoe's parents had stopped speaking to her since she had refused to give Faye up for adoption or abort her, so the next best guardian was Quin's sister, Ruby. Ruby had just graduated NYU with a degree in film production. Her short film had been a huge hit in the Sundance festival, earning her quite the title for such an "amateur." On her 1 year birthday, Faye was sent to live with her Aunt Ruby in the busy streets of Manhattan. This set up was supposed to be temporary, lasting a maximum of four years with at least a one week visit from one parent every month. But, that's not how things ended up working out. Zoe and Quin were both killed in a car accident on their way to visit their daughter, causing Ruby to be the primary care taker for young Faye.
Before Faye started pre school, Ruby got a tremendous job at a huge movie production company in California, so it was off to Hollywood for little Faye. All through out pre school, Faye got into trouble for numerous things. Being too loud, having no attention span, and always wanting to play music. Having been derived from some form of creativity as well, Ruby saw right away that having musical talent was something that would help Faye immensely. It wasn't until around 3rd grade that Ruby actually purchased a guitar for Faye (that she still has stored in the basement.) Faye absolutely adored that guitar, and from a head start from one of Ruby's friends who was a great guitar player, young Faye was a natural. But, her love of music and her quirky ways made Faye an outcast as she grew older. Her one good friend, Amanda Simmons, moved away just as they entered the 7th grade. Faye was un-noticable in middle school, until high school. She began to look pretty, and really feel comfortable in her own skin. Of course, you know how girls are. They envied that.
One group of girls in particular seemed to have it out for Faye. They cornered her after school one day and jumped the living shit out of her. Black and blue, she returned to school the next day where she was given a false invitation to a party. An apology of some sorts. Faye had spent so long being afraid and sad that she jumped at the chance to have fun. But when she arrived at said party, she realized it was nothing more than a set up. Almost having a rape scare with a group of boys from the school, she managed to make it out, crying hysterically. She grabbed her guitar and tried to run away, but she ran into one of the members of Temper at the train station. He saw her guitar, and asked her to play. She whimpered out a tune and plucked along a melody. Apparently he saw something, because Faye was invited to join the band.
Despite the fact that her senior year hadn't even begun at that point (she's now taking online classes through out the tour), Ruby saw Faye's love of music and agreed to let her go on tour and move out. So now, here she is. Faye's so young and has been through so much already, but she's still as strong as ever. The rockstar life was a good life, Jes had to admit. There were some down sides like the creepy fans that never ceased to find a way to stalk Jes after a show to get one measly autograph or some picture that she knew would soon be defaulted on their myspace. At least, if they hadn't seen Viktor. Jes knew quite well from her own experience that it was hard to not fall for the leading man of the band. But, on this night, Jes knew that if she hadn't been a 'rockstar' that she would probably be sitting in some shitty dorm room, studying for some topic that she didn't really care about. Instead, she was getting ready to be on her way to meet Chris, Eric, and Kelsey at the Unhealthy Obsession bus. She couldn't really say where the night would lead them - despite her wishes, she had some thoughts in the back of her mind that Kelsey and Eric had a slight attraction going on. Which was equally amusing to Jes who watched as Viktor, Kelsey's cousin, said he was going to rape Eric. She wouldn't doubt it if that actually happened. Not because Eric was highly attractive, in Jes' mind it was actually the exact opposite, but because she knew quite well that Viktor's sex drive was one thing you never laughed at.
Jes pulled on a pair of dark wash skinny jeans from Urban Outfitters over her slim legs, adjusting them at her bony hips and looping a silver studded belt through the belt loops. Jes' eyes were focused on the VMA's, which she had thought were gonna be the extent of her entertainment for the night, but she highly doubted that Chris and Eric would want to watch the Jonas Brothers while they got tipsy. Oh well, if they didn't see how attractive those three boys were like Kelsey and her that that made them go a notch down in her book. And Eric really couldn't afford to do that. Speaking of Eric, Jes wondered if he'd make any remarks to her face to face. Maybe he didn't realize that Chris was her guy best friend and Kelsey was her girl best friend. She hadn't really ever tried to convince Kelsey out of something, but if Eric didn't play his cards right and do some major suckin' up to Jes, she was prepared to put up a fight to Kelsey about how Eric could give her rabies or something.
After Jes pulled on a red and black horizontally striped v-neck t-shirt, she slipped on a pair of black and white checked Vans. She tucked a piece of blonde hair behind her ear as she flipped the bus television off. As far as Jes knew, the rest of her band mates were off with their own friends and had their own plans. So Jes secured the bus door shut and began to walk over to the Unhealthy Obsession bus. It was just a few days ago that Jes had been sprinting over to the same bus to make sure that Chris wasn't slitting his wrists or something. Obviously, he wasn't, but Jes had still been freaking out. Hey! You would be too if it was your best friend...
As Jes approached the bus she went to the open door and saw that it was locked. Jes rolled her eyes, pounding her fist against the door.
