She is about one of the most genuinely nice people you would ever hope to meet. She’s very outgoing, friendly, sincere, and honest, but she is never too truthful in a cruel way. If she doesn’t have something nice to say, chances are she will not say it at all. She’s one of those girls who is a sucker for hugs, and will swoon at just about anything she sees a boy do. She thinks most things are cute, but don’t let her obsession with affection and adorableness fool you: she can be a pistol if necessary.
She’s very hard to make mad, but she can get a bit emotional. If you manage to make Cadence mad, you know you’ve really tripped her trigger. She is usually very above fights and drama but she is not void from them; after all, she is human. What she does more often than get genuinely angry, which happens honestly only once in a blue moon, is cry. She’s not someone who will cry at the littlest slip up, or even just randomly, but when she feels like she’s made a mistake, or is completely overwhelmed and doesn’t know how to fix something, a good cry clears her mind before she can work to problem solve.
Cadence is smart, too. She’s pretty good in school, though she admits to perhaps paying more attention to other learning methods. She likes to observe; she thinks a lot in her spare time. She has notebooks full of pages she has covered in her scripty handwriting, analyzing and trying to figure out the pieces of herself, of her world. She loves to journal, blog, whatever, just to keep her mind working and her thoughts flowing. She loves to read, likes Literature and History. Cadence is a daydreamer, but she is also realistic when it comes to setting her own goals. She knows her limits, but that doesn’t mean she won’t push them. She’s always trying to go a little farther, try a little harder, figure out what her boundaries really are.
Cadence is over all an optimistic and happy person, even when behind that million dollar smile, her world is crumbling. She doesn’t take a day for granted and perhaps that is why she is prone to emotion; she’s afraid of leaving things unfixed and unsaid, because she is never sure what tomorrow will bring. She demands a lot of response from those she is close to; she doesn’t like being brushed off or when people can’t at least try to communicate effectively. But really, it’s not that hard when you get to know her, with her gentle gaze and comforting smile.

» PAST; Cadence was born and raised in Woodbury, Tennessee, a small town with a population of scarcely 2500. She grew up on a big piece of property with tall grasses and a stable that offered endless amounts of entertainment until her family moved to Texas. She grew up with a lot of animals; dogs, cats, even a couple of horses. She had always been a fan of riding them for fun but never took up competitions. She was more into just taking care of them, brushing and grooming them, going for bareback runs across the fields. There were also thickets of trees that her brother and herself would walk through for fun, exploring and becoming anything you can become with the imagination of a small child.
She grew up in Tennessee until she was fourteen; her family moved to Texas when she was going in to high school. She spent all four years of high school there, graduating with honors and much pride on her family’s side. She had always planned on going to California for college; it was a dream of hers that she was able to achieve when she got a scholarship to USC. She was more than excited to be attending in the fall, but then, tragedy struck.
Something was wrong with her father. His health was just not right; he was not all there. There were certain moments where he couldn’t hold a pen or his fork correctly at the dinner table; times that he would stumble walking even the shortest distance from the living room to the restroom. The family grew worried, but nothing happened until Dawn pushed to take Andrew to the doctor. A few weeks and many tests later, they received the devastating news; Andrew had been diagnosed with ALS.
He was given six months to live. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It causes the steady and fast deterioration of the body, leaving the patient with no control over their movements, eventually landing them in paralysis. Victims, however, are not vegetables: the last thing that goes is their brain, making them completely aware of their surroundings. People with ALS are not brain-dead; rather, they are able to comprehend everything around them, feel pain, but unable to move, or eventually even communicate, or eat, for themselves. It is obviously a horrible disease, and worse, there is no cure, no way to slow or make its symptoms more bearable for the patient. Cadence, even after appealing to USC for financial aid, eventually had to revoke her intent to register, because funds for the family were so short after taking care of her father. Andrew was completely aware of his family’s dilemma, and though unable to hardly admit he was losing control to his illness, he insisted the entire family move to California, not only for his benefit of a better hospital but to hopefully put Cadence closer to her goal of USC. She, however, has chosen to take the opportunity, also at her father's insistence, to tag along on the Enchantment '08 tour, at the prodding of best friend and lead singer of Famously Shameless ,Aaron Schiff. She calls home every night, and spends time with her father whenever she can. The disease, though her father is the patient, has made her victim in more ways than she can even comprehend.
