» PERSONALITY;
Emmy Nikole Chiodos. At first, when you first meet, you'll most likely judge her as a shy, timid girl. "Little girl" is a term that is used to refer to her a lot, mostly because of her size. But once you meet her, you'll realize her personality is anything but little. The life of the party, maybe TOO much party actually, she is always on her toes.. ready for the next big thing. She lives fast. She is loud, outgoing, obnoxious, and her loudness might annoy you at times. But those who love you love this about her, the way she can cheer anyone up, and make anything fun and exciting. She is very approchable, and a great listener. She loves giving advice to her friends and helping them with their problems. She tries to live by the rule of treating others how you would want treated. Emmy attempts to never be selfish, and is very giving. And although she tries, she isn't perfect. But who is?
Another part of this tiny girls huge personality is her rage. If you make her angry, you're going to regret it. Plain and simple. While others describe her as a lover, she knows deep down she is a figther, too. She is strong. She won't take crap from anybody, and if you mess with her or somebody she cares about, you're in for it. It doesn't effect her if you're 100lbs heavier than her, 12 inches taller than her, or a man. She won't cease to hit you. Sometimes she can't even control it. It just happens. She is very confrontational when something bothers her. So don't mess with her head, and don't lie to her.
Emmy is very high-strung. Once you meet her, she is someone you will never forget.
She is very ambitious and organized. She has a list for almost everything. She makes it, analyzes it, edits it, and does it. She sets goals for herself and does anything to complete them. This has definatly been one of her perks and it has helped her in the long run. She's very intellegent and hates when people assume she's not, especially because she is a blonde. It's something that bugs her, a lot.
Because of her past, she finds the need to always have something pushing the pain away. She copes with it well, and it almost never shows. One of her biggest downfalls are her partying. She keeps it quiet most of the time so she doesn't get in trouble. Emmy has that rockstar mentality, and always has. She wants to party and party hard. She's a rebel and isn't afraid to take risks, which for the most part has benefited her, but there have been the downfalls too. The two main ones, already mentioned: the partying, the fighting. It's something she just can't let go of.
She comes off like the strongest, most confident girl you would know. But there is that side to her that is hidden, too. Just like any other girl.. she is insecure. She sometimes feels insignificant. She is lonely. She fights them away. She doesn't deal with her problems, which might result in the rage.

» PAST; Please provide a thorough history of your character, minimum 500 words.
The first born child of her father and mother, Emmy Nikole Chiodos was born on May 22, 1991. Her father and mother, both residents of Bellview, New Jersey, they were part of the lower-class. Struggling for money constantly since their marriage in 1989, things got rough. Emmy was a very spoiled, loved, only-child, and her parents provided everything they could for her. From her birth until she entered pre-school at the age of 5, she remembers her life as pretty average. She was too young to understand the finance and income struggles her parents faced everyday.
When she was 5 years old she began attending pre-school. Things had gotten even worst for her parents. Their relationship was beginning to loosen and money was even tighter. Her mother had been a drug addict for 4 years now, and her father was selling. It was the only source of money they had with her father being laid off. Finishing pre-school and entering kindergarden, Emmy had became very quiet. She had witnessed her parents fighting a lot, and became scared of most adults. She had also witnessed drug deals and the arguments they would get into. She had watched guns being pulled, fights, ect. Emmy would often sit at the top of the steps and listen to her parents screaming and hitting each other. They no longer loved her and wanted to play with her like they used to. She felt so along and neglected. She was always starving, there was never any food at house.
Her elementary years got even rougher. Emmy was picked on a lot, as teachers and students often heard rumors of her parents and their experiances and involvement with drugs and fighting. Her father had never gotten into serious legal trouble, but he had been in jail a few times as neighbors often complained of the disturbances. Once, child services was called, but Emmy lied and told them her family was fine. Her parents presented her well, she was always clean, even though they had no money and rarely paid attention to her.
Finally, at the age of 12, her parents divorced. Her mother had gone too far. As her father was trying to get clean and steer away from drugs, her mother kept bringing them intot he home. She was also prostituting on the side, and when Emmy's dad Dylan discovered this, he left. Emmy went with him. She had no choice. He was the only one that ever slightly cared. He was the one who had always fed her and bathed her. Her mother did absolutely nothing. She felt rage and hate towards her mother.
Emmy and her father moved away, and she started a new school. She liked it a lot better. The kids didn't know of her past and didn't tease her. She could finally be herself and make friends. She loved it. At the age of 13, Emmy became very interested in music and began playing the guitar. Her friend from school began teaching her. Meanwhile, Emmy's dad was seeing someone, and eventually became engaged. He had gotten his life on the track and became successful and wealthy. He stayed away from drugs. His new fiance, Amy, had bought Emmy a new guitar for Christmas. Amy was someone she really looked up to. She was beautiful, successful, and kind. She nurtured and cared for Emmy as if it were her own child. Emmy seen Amy as a mother. Very thankful for the gift, she played, constantly, and began taking lessons. Guitar was something she loved more than anything.
When she turned 14, Amy gave birth to her step sister, Krissa. Emmy had never been so happy. She loved Krissa, with all of her heart, and would do anything for her or Amy and her father. She loved her family so much. She began high school, and had a hard time fitting in. She wasn't what everyone else was. She stood out, had a different style, and liked different things. All the other kids were preppy, mainstream, brand-loving look-alikes. Emmy completely stood out in the crowd. But, she liked it. And she liked the attention.
Highschool was flying by fast. She kept becoming more and more talented on the guitar, and was seriously considering about persuing it as a career, even if that's not what her family would want. Emmy is very intellegent, and Amy and her father wanted her to become a surgeon. She definatly had the brains too, and wouldn't mind the money. But it wasn't her passion like guitar was, it wasn't in her heart. But she didn't tell them that. She didn't want to dissapoint.
Then, the summer going into her junior year, at just 16, everything changed. She had began attending parties, and although her parents didn't like it, they had to let her be a teenager and experiance things. She began drinking, just like every other high school kid, when one night a boy in her Senior class took advantage of her. She never told anyone. Emmy was too ashamed, afraid, and embarrised. She didn't know who to turn to. She knew she could have turned to Amy, but she was afraid to get in trouble. She was afraid to dissapoint her father. She had dissapointed herself.
She became depressed. She turned to drinking even more, and she was constantly angry. All she could think of was her mother. Why wasn't she here? Why didn't she want to raise me? Why did this happen to me? She felt as though the rape was her mothers fault. She blamed it on her.
So now Emmy does the best she can to hide her past. Her whole life has been focused around just that, hiding her past. And music. And she holds it together well. That fun, loving girl is back. And even though late at night you can find her drinking a bottle of Jack and crying herself to sleep, she won't let anyone show it. But sometimes, she wishes she could.. she wants so badly for someone to save her..
Her main priority is music, and graduation. Now at 17 years old, Emmy is mature. Brave. Wise. Beautiful. Talented. And bold. She wants success, she wants an opportunity, and she will not stop until she gets there. With all the love & support of her family.. minus her mother, she is working her way to her goal. She will do everything she can to leave the past behind and fufill her dreams.. her passion.. music. Guitar, her one true love. The one who has saved her soul, the one she has confided in. Now it's time to do something for guitar. Emmy is using her talent, and climbing her way to the top.
Her organizational skills, people skills, and talent are definatly something special Emmy has that would make her an asset to any band. Now she just has one challenge. Finding one. And she will do just that. Her one wish: for her mother to be watching on tv, see her daughter playing live, and regret everything. Regret her life, her mistakes, and realize she has failed her.
But if that doesn't happen, she is okay with it. Because she is doing this for her. It's her true passion. And she knows that no matter what, Amy, her true mother, and Dylan, her father, will be there to cheer her on. Even if that's not what they exactly wanted for her.
-It felt so wrong, It felt so right-
Why is it that with some people, things just click? Emotions are high and sparks fly. That's exactly what Jamia found herself wondering about Ryan constantly.
As she entered the room, lightining dim, curtains pulled, she looked around. Where was he? She couldn't quite tell. All she knew was she was afraid. Years of communication had made there bond close, but for some reason, on this night, a fear was present. The room had an eerie, loomy vibe and as she took another step in, cold chills rushed up her spine.
"Hello?" She said quietly, the rythm of her voice echoing against the cold, thin walls. She could hear breathing, but she couldn't see him. Why was he acting like this? To scare her? So many thoughts running through her head. Jamia felt helpless.
"Ryan?" She said, speaking again, this time hoping for a response. The room was so dark she had to feel her way around. Completely unaware of this new enviroment, she found herself continuously bumping into unknown objects.
"Ouch.." she said aloud, taking another step and bumping into a table.
She stopped. She decided she wasn't going to move any longer until Ryan spoke. Was he even here? Was this a trick? She suddenly felt regret on deciding to meet him here.
Maybe people were right. People aren't who they say they are online. She had been talking to Ryan for over 3 years now, learning every detail about him. Sharing her story with him. Her secrets. All her trust had been put into him. Had everything he said been a lie? She had such a bad vibe. Why had he told her to meet him here? This cabin was abandoned. Alone, and empty. Her heart started ponding and thoughts and fears ran through her head.
She had a feeling this was the end for her. She swallowed, hard.
She remained motionless, hoping he wouldn't find her.
As he spoke, she felt reliefed. He had a reason for not responding.
Jamia sighed. Maybe it was all in her head. There was the Ryan she knew and loved. He had returned.
"I'm over here." She said, calming herself.
As he lit the candle, she rushed to his side.
"Hello, stranger." She smiled, wrapping her arms around him.
"It's so nice to finally touch you.." She held him close.
He made her feel comforted. Loved, and full. She loved this feeling, and she never wanted it to go away. She had searched for love in all the wrong places this whole time. And finally when she searched for love in the places most people would consider to be wrong, she had finally found it.
She smiled to herself.
They talked. They talked for hours. Time flew by and sparks and connections grew. She couldn't believe she was finally here, with him, by her side. She never wanted this moment to go away and she wanted him to be here forever. She didn't want to return home. She felt like he was her home, even if this was their first meeting, she knew he was the one. She loved Ryan so much. He was everything she was not, and everything she had been searching for for all of these years. She loved everything about him. From his voice to the way he embraced her. All these amazing, fairytale feelings wrapped up into one night and one man. Oh, she was so grateful.
The emotions were so strong, they wrapped around her like a blanket. She was high on happiness. Starry-eyed and all smiles. They spoke about their future. Everything she believed, he believed. It was unbelievable how compatible they were and how fate had brought them together and closer to their fath. He had made her believe again, and he had helped her to see that her past was not her fault. It was something she could not control. Similar to the feelings she had for him. Oh, she couldn't control them. They flowed from her, and they would never stop. He brought peace to her mind, and warmth to her soul. She never wanted it to go away.
She began to express to him her fear.
"When you didn't answer, I became afraid. You hear all these horror stories, of meeting people online, and how they mislead you, then kill you or something. When you didn't respond, my heart dropped."
She spilled her guts, her fears and anxietys of those few moments, expressing them with great detail. She knew to keep their relationship strong since they wouldn't see each other often, they would have to use communication. So why not start tonight? She wanted him to know everything.[/quote]
